Innovation Anthology profiles Canadian science, research and invention. Award winning broadcaster Cheryl Croucher talks to scientists and innovators across the country, bringing you the latest in Canadian ingenuity.

The Innovation Anthology production team has enjoyed many years working together on several media projects.
Cheryl Croucher, Porcupine Stone Productions
Cheryl Croucher brings over forty years of media experience as a writer, broadcaster, and producer to Innovation Anthology. Born in Edmonton, Cheryl graduated from the University of Alberta with a BA (Special) in Political Science and Sociology. During her fifteen years with CBC Radio, Cheryl worked both behind the scenes and on-air in Radio Current Affairs. As a broadcaster, Cheryl built a strong reputation as a nationally syndicated consumer commentator and later became well known as CBC Radio’s first environment commentator. At CKUA Radio, Cheryl co-produced EcoFile followed by the very popular program Heritage Trails, a daily series of 500 vignettes on Alberta history. Through her production company Porcupine Stone Productions, Cheryl developed and hosted Innovation Alberta, a very successful independent web-based audio program with an international audience. This aired on CKUA Radio from 2001- 2008. Cheryl has produced the independent web series Innovation Anthology since 2007 and the CKUA radio series Aboriginal Pathways since 2009. Cheryl also publishes a quarterly technology column in Edmontonians’ Magazine and has contributed to the online news service Troy Media Corporation. She is currently researching the history of the Edmonton Indian Residential School for the Nechi Institute. Cheryl has been a continuing member of the Al-Pac Forest Management Task Force (now called Landscape Advisory Group) since it was established in 1992. In 2002 Cheryl received the prestigious Alberta Chamber of Resources Award for Excellence in Journalism and in 2009 an inaugural CIHR Journalism Fellowship.
Scott Franchuk, Riverdale Recorders
All the Innovation Anthology commentaries and interviews are mixed at Riverdale Recorders by sound engineer Scott Franchuk. Scott and Cheryl have worked together since 1998. Scott is also a well known producer on Alberta’s independent music scene. His recent projects include the award winning Corb Lund album Cabin Fever.
Paul Bellows, Yellow Pencil Inc
Web designer Paul Bellows of Yellow Pencil Inc has collaborated with Cheryl for years, building both the Innovation Anthology and Innovation Alberta websites. Since 2002, Yellow Pencil Inc has grown into a very busy company that includes a team of talented programmers and designers and an impressive list of clients.

Original theme music for Innovation Anthology was composed by Alberta musician and sound engineer, Paul” Duke” Paetz.
